Such a cynical way to look at things now isn’t it? At some point, I’m sure most people have felt this way about a relationship that they’ve been in. I know I have. But I don’t hate the idea of love. I can’t say for sure that I’ve ever been in love, but I can tell you that I have been in a relationship that left me broken. It took a while to get over that stage where I was always wondering “what went wrong?”, but I did get over it.

There’ll be a time in every person’s life where he/she opens up completely, only to be shut down. It’ll hurt, it’ll last for what seems like a lifetime, but just like everything else, it’ll eventually be put behind you. Life isn’t easy, let alone relationships. You can never fully appreciate the good things in life without knowing what the bad things feel like. You have to kiss a few frogs to get to your prince.

I don’t agree with putting love down like its some kind of taboo. Everybody wants to love, to be loved, to be IN love. That’s how we’re programmed. It doesn’t have to come now, it might even come decades from now. So don’t put your heart away out of fear of getting hurt. We’ve all scraped our knees. Pain is something that humans are MEANT to feel. Take the chance, even if you’re scared. You may miss out on something wonderful.

Damn word up, Kaissel. kaisselkaija:
